Back again!

First I am so sorry I haven't said a word for ages! That doesn't mean I haven't been stitching though. So this time I do hav few pictures to show you :)

First my "wild animals" round robin. You have already seen it, but without my own part. It is done now. It was actually my first finish of 2013! I chose to stitch a bear. For some reason I love bears now. When I waas younger I was scraed of them! I was always afraid they would attack and kill us all. Why? Well.. my favourite cartoons as a kid were about wild dogs who fought against bears which were real killing machines. I know, sounds stupid, but hey, I was a kid :) And those were good! Maybe not anymore.. but I loved them.

So here's my bear :)

Here's also the whole round robin with my bear.

I was a bit afraid it would be too dark for it as the other animals are not that dark coloured. But I think it is fine. Me likes :)

Next is a birthday gift that I stitcher for another stitcher. On this picture the band is not attached to the towel yet. Forgot to take a picture when it was finished..

I also stitched Pollyanna Pickering's Zebra a bit. I added some more black on it. What bothers me is the fabric, 14ct white aida. Not really huge fan of it..

I do wanna finish this one day ofcourse, even though I don't like the fabric.

I also managed to put few stitches on the "Joy-ornament" by Dimensions. I didn't find the picture of it though. Maybe I didn't take one. I am still not sure what's wrong with it. As earlier I said it looks a bit messy cause the cross stitches and half stitches are going different directions. I mean the top stitches. On my cross stitches the top stitch goes like this \\\\\ and on my half stitches it goes /////. However, on "Southwest Mesa" I have the half stitches exactly the same way as on the ornament, but there it doesn't look bad at all. So, the problem may be on the fabric/floss. The fabric is 18ct aida and I stitch with two threads as was told in the chart. It looks a bit.. bulky to me. Not sure what I will do, if I just keep stitching or what.. Time will tell :)

Then.. ta daa! More finishes!! Whoooo!!!!

Here's my Joan Elliott's Witch that I started on January 2012 during the CrazyJanuaryChallenge. It's finished, finally, lol! The fabric is actually orange. The picture just doesn't look right and I didn't manage to capture the real colour. It's 28ct linen by Silkweaver, called "Inferno".

I left out some backstitches (swirls and border) that I didn't really like. Eyes are all french knots but I tried to do french knots on the dress too. Oh, what a disaster! They were all different sizes and it just looked really bad.. After I was whining about it on a Facebook group, I was told to try a colonial knot. I tried and I fell in love :) Those are so, so much easier than french knots and I managed to make them all same size too, whooo!! :)

There's another finish coming! It's Lizzie Kate's "Snowman '10" which was also started during the CJC. I think.. It was my laptop project but I noticed it wasn't really getting any stitching time, I decided to stitch it and finish it, asap.

I stitched it using DMC. The fabric is.. not quite sure, I once bought it from a real shop. Its 14ct aida by Zweigarth, that I do know. It is marbled, brown. Buttons (which are soooo cute!!) are by Papermania :)

Ofcourse now that I have finished sooo much ;) I had to make new starts, too!

First start of the year was a Quaker. I bought the pattern from a stitchy friend. I LOVE it. The fabric is Silkweaver's 28ct Lugana "Goldspinner". Here's a pic of the patterna and the fabric and how far (not far) I am at the moment.

The first picture of the fabric is quite accurate. I LOVE the colour. And this is fun to stitch too, but sadly, not getting that much stitching time at the moment :(

Here's another start! I started this yesterday as I got the fabric (Silkweaver's 28ct Jazlyn "Seaside melody") earlier this week and it was calling for a mermaid! I was first planning to stitch a Mirabilia mermaid on it, but I did some research and lots of them have tons of bling bling which makes them pretty expensive. So I skipped them.. Maybe later :) But I realised I do have another mermaid pattern and it's perfect! Here's my "Mermaids" by Country Cottage Needleworks :)

Oh how I love it! And the fabric too. It's Jazlyn and even though it is not my first Jazlyn-piece it is my first time stitching on it. Ohhh, soo sooo soft! I seriously love stitching on it. Might be my new favourite. Plus the colour is nice too. I stitched one of the mermaids yesterday and I plan to stitch another one today. I am not using the colours given on the charts as I don't have them. For the mermaid's tails, the ones that change colours. Instead I am using my DMC variegated thread that I bought years ago and never used them. Found some pretty nice colours :) Here's also a pic how the final result will look.

Isn't that lovely??? :)

Lots of stitching and I do love it. I didn't stitch as much as I wanted last year because of my backproblems. I hope they are gone now and I can really enjoy stitching again :)

Turtle trot 2013

I joined a Turtle trot 2013 and you can read more about it here or on my Turtle trot page which you can find on the right.

So, for this I need thirteen (13) UFOs. That's not a problem at all! Sadly lol. I have lots of UFOs although not as many as some people have. I have heard rumours of over 60 UFOs! Most of my chosen UFOs are from last year's Crazy January Challenge. I started 15 new ones and I think I finished maybe three of them? Anyways, not enough! This is a good way, I hope, to continue stitching those projects. Although I am sure I will start new ones too every now and then.

Here are my thirteen UFOs, names and pics. Most have only the stitches on them that I managed to stitch lat January, lol.

1. Autumn in my Garden (Mirabilia)
I would love to finish this soon and my goal is to finish this before December!

2. Loved you yesterday (Gold-magazine, can't remember the designer atm)
Again something I would like to finish soon. The pattern is beautiful with two blue love birds and a lovely text (Loved you yesterday, Love you still, always have, always will). 

3. Always Welcome (Kit and Bixby)
A beautiful house! I love houses.I love this pattern. I wanna finish this one soon too, lol. Surprise :P

4. Oriental cranes (Joan Elliott)
Yes, I love this pattern too but I also LOVE the fabric. It's by Polstitches and it is amazingly soft and nice to stitch on. Plus the colours are pretty amazing for the pattern too. Yes, I do wanna continue stitching this soon too. *sigh*

5. Victorian Charm (Sunset)
This is a kit by Sunset. I got this years ago. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and I still love it very much. However, I find it a bit tricky to stitch on dark blue aida, especially now that it's winter! So I think I will be stitching this one during the summer. Wish me luck!

6. Daisy Lane Cottage (LHN)
Lousy start :D I do like LHN patterns, but this is not my favourite one. I am not in a hurry to stitch this although, ofcourse, I do plan to stitch it this year too. Or at least put few stitches on it :P

7. Nefertiti (Lanarte)
Even though this is stitched on linen, I do like it. I even bought a frame for her already (last year) and for her pal, Tutankhamon. 

8. Joy ornament (Dimensions)
This is a new one that I started on November. Or December.. Not sure. It's a small ornament kit by Dimensions. Not that big, so I think as soon as I start stitching it, it will be fast finished. I hope ;)

9. Southwest Mesa (Sunset)
This is something that I might not finish for a loooong, long time. A kit by Sunset or maybe Dimensions. Well it's a same company anyways. Lots of tricky colour combinations and stitching with 4 strands, doing half stitches etc. I started this years ago when I wasn't that experienced stitcher yet. Bad choice back then. But I do like the kit.

10. Butterfly and clematis (Sunset)
I bought this kit years ago as well. Planned to stitch it for my mother but got this far.. lol

11. Zebra (DMC by Pollyanna Pickering)
I am not quite sure why this is an UFO. I stitched it this far pretty quickly!

12. Winter watch (Dimensions)
Old kit as well. It's a pretty tiger and it has some specialty ribbon too! For the snow around him.

13. Witch (Joan Elliott)
I guess this will be the first one to be finished as it is already this far! The biggest reason I haven't finished it yet is the round robin I joined last year. As I only seemed to stitch those (as I didn't stitch that much).

So, lots to do! But can't wait :) Enjoy Turtle trot 2013!

A very old UFO and a small CJC2012 piece

I have to many WIPs and UFOs. When I wanna stitch, I spent lots of time to decide what to stitch! Esp. if the piece I wanna stitch is a no. I wanted to stitch the autumn by Bent Creek but I noticed I am missing two colours! The list says I do have them both, but I can't find them.. So, I can't stitch and finish that piece now. But I did NEED a small piece.. wonder why?

Well, as some of you might know, I play World of Warcraft. I have been leveling my priest's profession: Archaeology. Now that's something that is quite boring! Most of the time you are just flying from place A to place B and again to place C and A :P So, while I was doing this, flying around, I was checking Facebook and newspapers etc. Until I realised something.. I should stitch while I am flying! Ha! So I needed a small project next to my laptop which I could pick up when I am having a boring moment on WoW (flying, waiting for an instance group etc.) I chose one of my CJC pieces: Snowman 10 by Lizzie Kate :) Yay! I am multitasking!  I haven't stitched really much yet, but at least something.

I LOVE L*K patterns! They are nice and small and yet, so colourful :) After I have finished this, I will choose another Lizzie Kate as my laptop project lol.

Let's talk about that old UFO. When I had started stitching back in.. 2003/4 (I can't remember when that happened, I THINK it was in 2004, at least my oldest Cross Stitcher-magazine is from that year) I saw Dimensions' kits somewhere. I fell in love! I ordered one and started it right away. However.. uhm.. I think I chose a bit too big project! And challening too! I soon got tired of it as it doesn't only use cross stitches or even half stitches, but also half stitches on four strands, when 1 strand is colour A and 3 strands are colour B. So, I gave up and it's been an UFO for a looong time now. I pick it up every now and then and do few stitches but for some reason, I always put it away after some time. But now I am not gonna do that! I will keep it in the living room, somewhere where I can always see it and it screams my name! Maybe one day, I am able to finish it. And when I do, I will have a giveaway! :D Don't hold your breath though..

Also! I did some shopping few days ago.. From Dimensions again. I ordered two ornament kits which I plan to finish before Christmas. Wish me luck! I will post a pic of them when they arrive, they were mailed on Friday, whooo!!!

the Witch

I have made some progress on the Witch again. It feels so great to stitch again! I am really enjoying stitching her. I love the bright colours and the fabric is awesome too. After finishing this I would love to stitch another JE design, but I am not allowed to start anything before finishing those four CJC projects. Oh well, I will live :)

I have done something, whooo!!

Hellloooo!

I've been bad and I haven't updated my blog for ages now.

My fiance was here and I also had a cold! Ugh.. I actually still have it, but getting better. Nose is not running 24/7 anymore, thank God!

Here's a picture of my part of Kaisa's Kitchen RR (round robin). I loved the colours on this one so that's why I chose this pattern.

Next theme is birds and I have already started stitching it. No pics of it yet though :)

I've also stitched my little Witch a bit. I hope to finish it soon as well.

My back is a lot better now, yay!! It's not 100% yet but getting there, soon I hope :) I hope everyone is doing well and you've been stitching a lot! I'll continue stitching the Witch today while watching tv. After my evening walk :)

Stitching and decisions

Hello everyone! :)

I hope everyone is having a great time.

I'm still stitching my part of my own round robin. I am missing two colours (eek!) and not sure if I will get them on time. As the mailing day is next monday. Oh well, I need to finish my stitching when it arrives back home after six months.

While I was having a walk earlier today, I was thinking about my stitching. I was thinking my WIPs and UFOs and patterns that I would like to stitch. The list was HUGE! So I made a decision. I am NOT gonna start any new designs before I have finished at least four (4) CJC-projects. Yup.. Wish me luck and strenght! I really need to finish something instead of just starting new ones. I had that problem before I had a break from stitching. I just kept starting and starting new ones and not finishing much..Ofcourse I do need to start new ones for the round robin, but that's fine as I do need to do my share! :D

I made a list of four stitchings that I will finish before any new ones:

1. Daisy Lane Cottage by Little House Needleworks
2. Snowman by Lizzie Kate
3. Trick or treat by Joan Elliott
4. The Snowcapped trees (forgot the designer, need to check it later)

I really hope I manage to finish these and not to start anything new. However, I can and will stitch other WIPs and UFOs too, esp. Mirabilia's "the Scent of Old Roses" as I joined a UFO challenge (on a Finnish blog), where we are supposed to finish one UFO before 30th December. We'll make a blog post of our progress every month, I think usually 30th day of the month. I have done little progress on her already :)

Next January I will join CJC again. Yes, I am crazy! :D However, I will only choose small patterns which I am able to stitch rather quickly. So that I can continue with this year's crazies and I can keep stitching other things too :)

Fresh Watermelon - Finished!

I finally finished "Fresh watermelon" by Little House Needleworks! I started to stitch it on January as a part of CrazyJanuaryChallenge. I stitched quite a lot back then and NO idea why I didn't finish it too. It was such a pleasure to stitch, I love the colours on it. Plus Jobelan is my fave fabric. I can imagine me stitching this again :)
I did a mistake though. One of the dark green leaves (the one at the bottom) is one row lower than it should be. But it doesn't bother me really, so I left it like that.

Also.. ahem.. I got more fabric *blush* But but.. these are small pieces! I had never ordered from Polstitches so I decided to buy a grab bag from them to see how the fabrics look like. I got them today.. I LOVE them! I have never ever had fabric that soft! I got two pieces of 28ct Jobelan and one piece of 28ct opal linen. All are 9x13. Those Jobelans are soooo soft! And they all smell damn good too :D I read about the scent but this was obviously the first time I had their fabric and noticed the smell too :) I didn't wanna get linen, so I think they accidentally put one piece of linen there but it's fine as the linen is opal and oooh, so, so beautiful!

Witchy progress

I've finally done some stitchin after weeeeeeks break! Yay! :) Not much though but at least little something. I stitched Joan Elliott's Witch which I started to stitch during CJC on January.


Yesterday I also received my two fabric from Sparklies. Here's a picture of them. They look a litte darker in the picture than what they are in real. Yet, I like them both a lot. The green one is 9x13 and the flesh colour is 18x27. I'm gonna stitch a Joan Elliott's "may all your weeds be wildflowers" on the green one.

I still haven't stitched anything really. I've been watching Roswell again after many years. I used to watch that when I was a teen. I have them now on DVD and decided to watch them again.

This one is Nora Corbett's Poppy pixie. I didn't even remember starting it! *embarassed* So now that I found her again, I need to continue stitching even though not sure if I like the fabric or not.


Second picture is my CJC-project. I am not sure if I posted this picture already or not, I think I didn't. It's Joan Elliott's Witch. My progress so far.


I started to stitch this flower aaaages ago or at least it feels like that. It's a sweetpea by Ellen Mauer-Stroh and I'm using hand dyed aida (14ct) by Sugar Maple Fabrics. Can't remember the colour, but I'm sure I have it somewhere.. will let you know later! I haven't finished it yet, but it's not really missing much lol. I planned to stitch 4 flowers (there's 12 in total) on a same piece of fabric and I'd make it into a pillow. One day..

Autumn in my garden - update

I've been stitching Autumn-lady again. I really enjoy stitching her and the fabric is soooo nice and soft! I had to do some unpicking as I stitched while talking on Skype on Sunday and ofc I forgot few stitches. No more talking while stitching, lol.



Pistelin Autumn-leidiä jälleen. Työtä on aivan ihana pistellä, kangaskin on aivan valtavan ihanan pehmeää! Purkamisurakka tosin oli edessä sunnuntain jäljiltä. Juttelin samalla Skypessä kun pistelin. Tottakai sitä sitten unohtui muutama pisto. Enää en puhu samalla kun pistelen, lol.

There may be a mistake on the chart..

Today I continued stitching the deers from Maxxina-magazine. I enjoyed stitching it and can't wait to stitch more! However, not sure when I can stitch more and if I need to do some unpicking first.. Like unpick everything I stitched so far.

I was stitching the darkest brown areas on the mother deer. According to the chart, the colour was 434. After I stitched all the areas on the mother I started to wonder why it didn't look so dark. I then realised that the colour might be a wrong one. As the next darkest brown on the deer looked exactly like 434. I know colours may look a bit different in the pictures, but still. I also noticed that colour 433 was used in the chart (and it looks just like the dark brown on deers) but it was supposed to use in the bushes behind the deers. I couldn't see brown anywhere in the bushes.. So.. I think there's a mistake in the chart which means all the browns (at least) are wrong. One shade too light. Yay..

I sent an email to the magazine. I am waiting their response now. If I don't hear anything from them, I think I will unpick what I stitched and stitch with the colours I think are correct. Or this will end up being an UFO.


Tänään pistelin taas Maxxina-lehdessä ollutta kauris-mallia. Pisteleminen oli oikein mukavaa ja en malta odottaa, että pääsen taas pistelemään tätä mallia. Tosin en tiedä koska siihen on taas mahdollisuus, sillä musta tuntuu, että mallissa on virhe ja näin ollen minun pitäisi purkaa kaikki pistot..

Pistelin äiti-kauriin tummanruskeat alueet ensin. Mallin mukaan värinä on 434. Kun olin saanut kaikki pistot (tai ainakin suurimman osan) valmiiksi ja piti aloittaa toisella värillä, mietin miksei ruskea olekaan kovin tumma, kuten kuvassa. Totesin, että olen luultavasti pistellyt väärällä värillä, sillä seuraavaksi tummin ruskea on juuri 434:n värinen. Tiedän, että kuvissa värit voivat vaihdella reilustikin, mutta silti. Huomasin myäs, että väri 433 on mallissa mukana (ja on juuri saman värinen kun kauriiden tummin ruskea), mutta sitä löytyi mallista kauriiden takana olevita puskista. Itse en kuitenkaan ruskeaa puskista löytänyt. Joten luulen, että mallissa on virhe ja näin ollen kaikki ruskeat (ainakin, muista en osaa sanoa vielä) ovat yhden sävyn liian vaaleita. Jee..

Lähetin sähköpostia lehteen. Odottelen vastausta ja jos mitään ei kuulu, puran luultavasti kaikki pistot ja käytän värejä, joiden luulen olevan oikeita. Tai sitten työ päättyy kaappiin UFOksi..

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello everyone! I wish you all a lovely day :)

I haven't updated my blog for two weeks now. Biggest reason is that I was in England this month! My very first time in England but for sure, not the last one. I really like England a lot. And especially one person there ;)

I didn't do any stitching shopping there though so I had to order some fabric from Sew and So. I hope the package will arrive tomorrow.

I have done only little stitching in these two weeks. I stitched Joan Elliot's Witch a bit and also finished one of my Crazies! Today I finished Lizzie Kate's "Follow your heart". Perfect one for this day :) The colours in the pic are a bit off, but not much.




Hei vaan kaikille ja toivottovasti teillä on ihana päivä tänään :)

En ole taas pariin viikkoon blogia päivitellyt. Suurin syy tähän on se, että olin tässä kuussa Englannissa! Ensimmäinen kerta kyseisessä maassa, mutta ei missään nimessä viimeinen kerta. Pidän Englannista kovasti ja varsinkin eräästä ihmisestä siellä ;)

En shoppaillut ristipistotarvikkeita Englannissa, joten tilasin Sew and So:lta hieman kangasta. Toivon paketin saapuvan huomenna.

Olen pistelly melko vähän. Joan Elliotin noitaa pistelin viime viikolla ja tänään pistelin teemaan sopivasti Lizzie Katen "Follow your heart"-mallia. Ylhäällä kuva valmiista tekeleestä. Värit ovat hieman metsään, mutta ei nyt mahdottoman paljoa kuitenkaan :)

Bones and stitching

I haven't been stitching much lately. I did stitch a bit while watching tv last week but so far, I haven't done a single stitch this week. Might do that today while watching Bones (season 1). I just bought season 1 last week and finally got it yesterday (damn online shops, taking ages lol). I do have 4 seasons so far but I've only seen S1 and S2. I started to watch S3 last week, but as I didn't remember anything from S1 and S2, I decided to start to watch them from the beginning.

I have couple pics to show you. "Always welcome" and "Nefertiti".




Yesterday I bought issue 90 of "Cross stitch gold" cause of the chinese lanterns! I saw them on the previous issue and I knew I want no, I NEED to stitch them. I also got my first subsribed issue of "Cross stitch and needlework" wohoo!! I have some random issues but this was the first magazine that was subscribed :)) I really love that magazine and already found charts I wanna stitch. So the Must stitch-list is getting longer and longer.. lol

Fresh watermelon update

I continued stitching "Fresh watermelon" (Little House Needleworks) on tuesday and been stitching it today as well. I had troubles stitching the watermelon under the table. I had to unpick twice and re-check all the time how many stitches and where.. wasn't fun, lol. I noticed that even though I do like green colour a lot, I prefer stitching with brighter colours, such as red (I LOVE red colour).



Jatkoin Little House Needleworksin mallia "Fresh watermelon" tiistaina ja pistelin sitä tänäänkin. Pöydän alla olevaa vesimelonia oli ärsyttävä pistellä. Kahdesti piti purkaa ja koko ajan sai tarkistaa montako pistoa minnekin... ei ollut kivaa :D
Huomasin myös, että vaikka pidän kovasti tuosta vihreästä väristä, pistelen mielummin kirkkaita värejä, kuten punaista (rakastan punaista!).

Day 15 (and 16, also known as day 13)

Yesterday was the final day of Crazy January Challenge. Kinda.. as now the challenge really starts! I have until December 31th to finish all the designs I started on these two weeks. A bit scary.. hehe. I have NO idea if I am able to finish them all or not. Ofcourse I try my best and I do believe that I can. We will see :)

Yesterday I started stitching DMC's "Kitchen Sampler" from old issue of Quick and easy. I had chosen the fabric and ready to roll.. BUT after two stitches I noticed that the main colour of the pattern, ecru, is almost the same colour as the fabric. You can't see the stitches at all. Right.. well not the end of the world as the fabric was rustico aida which I started to hate after using it on "Autumn in my garden" (btw, gonna replace it, I can't stitch on that fabric, it's scratching my hands a lot, don't like it at all!). So I was in a need of a new fabric, again! :D Lucky me I do have lots of nice fabrics on my stash so I chosed something from Silkweaver again, yay!

Fabric is 32ct linen called "Days gone by" and I LOVE it!



Now the explanation for the weird topic of the day. As I said earlier, I didn't start anything on Friday. I was supposed to start two pieces on Sunday. No, I didn't. I started the last one today, hence the 16th day. I didn't really know what to start. So I decided to look through my kits and I found two nice kits by Lanarte: Nefertiti and Tutankhamon. I bought both of them years ago, no idea why I never stitched them as they are both quite small. I chose Nefertiti for the challenge. I will stitch the other one later, maybe this year too.

The fabric on the kit is linen and really hard. It's just the same as the firts piece of linen I bought: very stiff. Now I don't know if linen is supposed to be like than when not hand dyed. But it surely feels different. Not bad, just.. different. Ofcourse I just had to calculate wrong, so the right area on the pic is one stitch too far. Yay, I can do some unpicking again, cheer with me :P



Eilen oli sitten hassutuksen viimeinen päivä. Tavallaan, sillä nythän se haaste vasta alkaakin! Nyt on sitten joulukuun loppuun asti aikaa saada jokainen aloitettu työ valmiiksi. Aika pelottavaa, hehe. En osaa kyllä yhtään sanoa saanko kaikki valmiiksi vai en. Yritän kyllä parhaani ja uskon että saan kaiken valmiiksi :)

Sunnuntaina aloin pistellä DMC:n "Kitchen sampler"-mallia vanhasta Quick and easy-lehdestä. Kangas oli valmiina ja olin aloittamassa pistelyä.. MUTTA parin piston jälkeen tajusin, ettei työn pääväri, ecru, erotu kankaasta laisinkaan. No, ei onneksi maailmanloppu, koska kangas oli rustico aidaa, jota aloin vihata pistellessäni "Autumn in my garden"-mallia (vaihdan muuten kyseisen mallin kankaan. En yksinkertaisesti voi pistellä tuolle aidalle, se raapii käsiä ihan kamalasti). Olin siis uuden kankaan tarpeessa, taas! Onneksi minulla on kätköissä hienoja kankaita joista valita. Valitsin jälleen Silkweaverin kankaan.

Kangas on 32ct pellavaa ja nimeltään "Days gone by". Aivan IHANA kangas!!


Nyt sitten oudon otsikon selitys. Kuten jo aiemmin sanoin, en pistellyt laisinkaan perjantaina. Suunnittelin aloittavani kaksi työtä sunnuntaina. No enpä aloittanut. Aloitin viimeisen työn tänään maanantaina, siksi siis päivä 16. En tienny mitä pistellä. Katsoin kaikki pakkaukseni läpi ja löysin kaksi hienoa mallia Lanartelta: Nefertiti ja Tutankhamon. Olen ostanut nämä vuosia sitten, enkä osaa sanoa miksen ole näitä aiemmin pistellyt, koska molemmat ovat melko pieniä. Valitsin Nefertitin haasteeseen ja pistelen toisen myöhemmin, ehkä jo tänä vuonna.

Pakkauksen pellava on melko kovaa. Juuri samanlaista kuin ensimmäinen pellavakankaani: erottäin jäykkää. En tiedä onko pellava tällaista ilman käsimvärjäystä. Tuntuu kyllä erilaiselta. Ei pahalta, mutta... erilaiselta. Tottakai minun piti mennä laskemaan väärin, joten oikealla puolella oleva alue on yhden piston verran liian kaukana. Jippii, saan purkaa alueen, nyt hurrataan :P

Day 14

Yes, day 14 not day 13. I didn't start anything on friday 13th. Only cause I really didn't feel like stitching at all. So today, last day of the Crazy January Challenge, I will start two.

I made some changes on my list. I removed "Chocolate cake sampler" from the list because I wanna stitch it on recommended fabric after all. And ofcourse, I don't have the fabric at the moment. I need to buy it and start it later. Same with Green Flip-its. I don't have the fabric. I thought I had! But don't have enough, ugh.. So I have two new ones on the list. The other one I started yesterday...

My 14th choice is Mirabilia's "the Blossom Harvest". I really love that pattern and after seeing some pictures of it on the interenet I just had to add it on my list.

The fabric is 32ct handyed Jobelan from Silkweaver. Colour is "Rose petals". I think Silkweaver is not using Jobelan anymore, only Lugana and Jazlyn? Shame :(


Niin, 14. päivä, ei 13.päivä. Perjantaina en aloittanut yhtään työtä. Minua ei vain yksinkertaisesti huvittanut pistellä laisinkaan. Joten sunnuntaina, hassutuksen viimeisenä päivänä, aloitan kaksi työtä.

Tein muutoksia listaani. "Chocolate cake sampler" poistui listalta, sillä haluan kuitenkin pistellä sen mallissa ehdotetulle kankaalle. Ja sitähän minulla ei siis ole, joten täytyypi se ostaa ja aloittaa malli sitten myöhemmin. Samoin kävi Lizzie Katen Green-malleille. Kangas on, MUTTA sitä ei olekaan tarpeeksi. Joten kaksi uutta mallia tilalle. Toisen aloitin eilen...

14.päivän malli on Mirabilian "the Blossom Harvest". Malli on aivan ihana ja kun vielä netissä näin kuvia valmiista töistä, oli minun ihan pakko aloittaa tämä!

Kangas on Silkweaverin 32ct Jobelan. Väri on "Rose petals". Silkweaver ei vissiin nykyisin enää käytä Jobelania vaan Luganaa ja Jazlyniä? Harmi.. :(

Day 11 and 12

I'm a bit late with my updates, but here they are!

January 11th I started to stitch "Snowman ´10" by Lizzie Kate. As you can see, I didn't really stitch much at all. All this starting is just making me.. I don't know, not willing so start anything anymore! :D I usually start lots and won't finish anything, but 15 starts in 15 days is much for me! Thank god I changed back to 15 starts instead of 31, haha. I am not sure about the fabric. It is 14 count aida and nicely marbled, but don't know who's fabric it is. It's really nice anyways :)



Day 12 start was "Daisy Lane Cottage" by Little House Needleworks. I started to stitch it on 28ct Jobelan. Colour is Cameo. I really love Jobelan! I changed the colour of the house. It's yellow as I plan to give this to my mum on her birthday in February. And my parents' house is yellow. The fabris looks a bit like grey/blue but its more like cream.



Vähän olen myöhässä päivitysten kanssa. Mutta olen kyllä pistellyt/aloittanut pistelyitä.

Tammikuun 11. päivä aloitin pistelemään Lizzie Katen mallia "Snowman ´10". Kuten kuvasta näkyy, paljoa en pistellyt. Tämä jatkuva aloittaminen ärsyttää kyllä ihan kiitettävästi ja tulee tunne ettei edes huvita aloittaa enää yhtään uutta :D Yleensä minulla on ollut ongelmana, että aloitan uusia ja mitään en saa valmiiksi. Mutta tämä tuntuu olevan kyllä minullekin ihan liikaa. Onneksi palasin alkuperäiseen suunnitelmaan aloittaa 15 uutta, 31 sijaan! Lumiukon kankaasta en ole ihan varma. Se on 14ct aida ja hienosta marmoroitu. Mutta valmistajasta ei ole mitään hajua. Hieno kangas kuitenkin :)

12. päivän aloitus oli Little House Needleworksin "Daisy Lane Cottage". Kankaana on 28ct Jobelan, väri on Cameo. Jobelan on kyllä niiiin ihana kangas! Vaihdoin mökin värin keltaiseksi, sillä aion antaa työn äidilleni helmikuussa. Ja vanhempien talo on siis keltainen. Kangas näyttää kuvassa harmaasiniseltä, mutta on enemmänkin kerman värinen.
